Mardi Gras

Even though Mardi Gras is french for "fat tuesday," people always tend to celebrate over the weekend before. Boy did they celebrate this weekend it was insane. They had riots and apparently SLO was on CNN again for the second time in the last few months. Anyway, the cops released tear gas and were shooting pepper pellets and there was a helicopter circling overhead. Paul and I went and watched the crowd where the riot was going on right before they released the tear gas and then they released the tear gas and it was scary. 3000 people turned and started running like mad straight at us. We didn't know what to do. It was scary. But then they stopped. So we were safe. That's about all on mardi gras.

I got to sing in the choir on Monday because my class was cancelled that was cool. However, on friday I have a huge excel project due. So I'm going to have to work on that. Also this Sat is the Berkeley tournament. It should be really good. I've been really feeling very good at fencing lately. The lessons seem to be helping and I'm starting to see things that I can do and how to get out of situations. However, I did get my ass handed to me on a plate by Patrick in Epee. It was quite pathetic. I did win two bouts on the ladder though. Nice! Ok I think that's all for an update. Maybe there was something else to talk about but I forgot what is so I'm not going to talk about it right now. byee.
